This book is being published as part of the 30th birthday celebrations for Storm- the comic strip, rather than the time-travelling hero who gives his name to the stories. In 1976, Storm was seen for the very first time on the drawing board of artist Don Lawrence, the character having been created for a brand-new Dutch comic weekly called Eppo. The concept for both Storm and The Deep World (the setting for Storm's first adventure) were the invention of leading Dutch comic creator Martin Lodewijk and it was up to Lawrence, the artist of the popular Trigan Empire series, to bring this fascinating world to life through his full-colour artwork. In Pandarve: The Worlds of Don Lawrence you will find the best images, chosen from the almost six hundred pages Lawrence was to draw depicting the Pandarve system. Thanks to new digital scans of the original paintings, we are now able to enjoy the worlds of Don Lawrence the way they were meant to be seen.
